Laboratory of Chemistry & Materials Technology

The Laboratory of Chemistry & Materials Technology (LCMT) belongs to the General (Core) Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 2019.01.29.
(former School of Technological Applications of the Technological Educational Institute of Sterea Ellada – TEISTE)
The head of the Lab is Professor V.N. Stathopoulos.

LCMT is located in Evripos campus, ath the city of Psachna and near the city of Chalkida.

City of Chalkida (greek “Χαλκίδα”): the chief town of the island of Evia (Euboea) in Greece, is situated on the strait of the Evripos at its narrowest point. The name is preserved from antiquity and is derived from the Greek “χαλκός” (copper, bronze). It is also documented that the ships set for the Trojan War gathered at Avlis, the south bank of the strait nearby the city.
